In February 2025, merryn was invited to be artist in residence at hong Kong international School. She worked with the upper primary school students to create a mural and collaborative artworks. merryn worked with the students in classes to create individual artworks that encouraged them to closely observe their environment. grade 5 students helped to paint the mural and created large collaborative artworks using image transfer technique taught by merryn. they create colourful canvases using merryn's ipad paintings as inspiration that were hung on the mural. the grade 4's created collaborative drawings of a cityscape set up in the classroom which were then translated onto recycled Perspex barriers used at the school during covid.
