FIREWORKS GALLERY, BRISBANE, AUSTRALIA- 2019
Acting as a mini survey of work created since relocating to Asia in 2014, Floating Cities… charts the development of a visual language entangled with the artist’s fascination with the seemingly infinite skylines of globalised megacities. It reflects a rapidly changing landscape with no horizon constantly in a state of flux; a landscape dominated by the digital, flooded with information and connected by unseen networks. Through this lens, Trevethan explores the impact of technologies on our perception of colour and space as well as how we process visual information.
