Trevethan returns to Australia to exhibit a major new body of work at Fox Galleries, Melbourne in April/May 2017. Provable Falsehoods… includes paintings, silk banners, sculptural works, artist books and tape drawing. These works were created over the last two years since relocating to Singapore in July 2014. Merryn Trevethan’s practice has evolved to focus on our relationship to living in increasingly globalised cities, constantly in a state of flux. She uses her observations of the cityscape to tease out the uncertainty of perception and the complexity of vision.
