A spatial intervention in the form of a tape drawing and light installation, Merryn Trevethan negotiates the architectural features of the pre-war buildings of 2 Cavan Road using her trademark linear, polychromatic patterning. Taking its cues from the vibrant hues of the Little India neighbourhood nearby, as well as the colours of the building as it used to be, the site-specific work encourages a sensorial response to the phenomena of time and transition by interposing a riot of colour and light into the gloom of the derelict spaces of the former ship-repair factory. 2 Cavan Rd is a pop-up art project by Singapore Arts Club. Curator: Louis Ho, Singapore.
