NPE Art Residency is pleased to invite you to Merryn Trevethan and Joel Yuen's joint exhibition Stillscapes, showcasing new artworks developed during their time as NPE Artists in Residence. While Merryn’s work, Zeroland explores the infinite repeatability of images in the digital age, manipulating architectural motifs and electronic colours to create an ever
expanding cityscape called Zeroland, Joel’s work Pastiche is art history meets the convenient and low cost consumerism in today’s society. Both Zeroland and Pastiche examine urban living in the 21st century.

Merryn Trevethan is an Australian artist based in Singapore. Merryn's practice focuses on the uncertainty of perception and the complexity of vision in a world dominated by interconnected globalised cities. Her work is a response to a city space without horizon, one of constantly shifting perspectives.
